Plain-language glossary

The words CRNT uses

Momentum Score+

A 0–100 read of how quickly an artist is gaining attention now.

It combines CRNT’s existing growth and engagement signals so movement matters more than total size.

How to read it
Compare the score with its recent direction. A high score means strong current movement; the arrow tells you whether that movement is strengthening or cooling.
Where you’ll see it
Home, Discover rankings, artist cards, artist pages, Watchlist, and label rosters.
What to do next
Open the artist and compare Momentum with Growth, rank movement, and available audience signals.

Everyone can view it.

Growth+

The change in an artist’s audience or activity over the shown time period.

Up means the signal increased; down means it cooled. Missing data stays unavailable instead of being estimated.

How to read it
Check the time window first. Positive growth means the measured signal rose during that period; negative growth means it fell.
Where you’ll see it
Artist cards, artist pages, rankings, Watchlist, and Premium analysis.
What to do next
Compare several windows and signals instead of treating one percentage as the whole story.

Everyone can view available growth data; some deeper analysis may require Premium.

Rankings+

Artist order based on current Momentum Score—not lifetime fame.

Use the categories and location filter to compare different kinds of movement. Rank arrows show change from the previous snapshot.

How to read it
The number is current placement. An up or down marker shows movement since the previous ranking snapshot; a dash means unchanged.
Where you’ll see it
Discover lists, artist pages, label rosters, and ranking summaries.
What to do next
Switch category, genre, or location, then open an artist to understand why they are moving.

Everyone can browse rankings.

Scout+

Back an artist you believe you found early and build a public track record.

Scout Score rewards thoughtful, early picks whose real momentum improves over time. Picks are limited and meant to be considered.

How to read it
A Scout pick records when you backed an artist. Your score develops from timing, pick quality, and the artist’s real movement after the pick.
Where you’ll see it
Artist pages, the Scout Hub, public Scout profiles, labels, and community activity.
What to do next
Research an artist first. If you believe their movement will continue, use Scout to put that belief on record.

Artist research is public. Making and managing Scout picks requires an account.

Labels+

Member-led scouting collectives with their own identity, roster, events, and standing.

Browse labels and public rosters, then follow or request to join one that matches your taste.

How to read it
Identity shows what a collective stands for; roster momentum reflects its artists; reputation, popularity, level, and standing describe different parts of its progress.
Where you’ll see it
Labels discovery, rankings, public label pages, Label HQ, and Battles.
What to do next
Open a label to inspect its mission, five-artist roster, real activity, achievements, members, and events.

Public label pages are open. Joining, supporting, or building a label requires an account.

CRNT Credits+

In-platform credits used for optional CRNT tools, boosts, events, and cosmetics.

Earn them through eligible participation and spend them inside CRNT. Credits cannot be cashed out or sent directly to people.

How to read it
Your balance is available spending power inside CRNT. Wallet history explains each earning or purchase; costs are shown before confirmation.
Where you’ll see it
The account rail, wallet, Scout rewards, Labels, Battles, events, alerts, and cosmetics.
What to do next
Open Wallet to review eligible ways to earn, available utilities, costs, and transaction history.

A signed-in account is needed to earn, hold, or use credits.

Watchlist+

A private radar for artists you want to check again.

Save an artist to see their latest movement together and receive available momentum alerts.

How to read it
It is a shortlist, not a public endorsement. Changes beside each saved artist help you decide who deserves another look.
Where you’ll see it
Artist cards, artist pages, Your Radar on Home, and the Watchlist page.
What to do next
Save artists that interest you, then return when their Momentum or growth changes.

You can try it on this device; an account keeps your saved activity with your profile.

Follow+

Tells CRNT which artists you want to hear more about.

Following helps shape personal discovery and News For You without changing public rankings.

How to read it
Following is an interest signal for your own experience. It does not raise an artist’s Momentum Score or public rank.
Where you’ll see it
Artist pages, label pages, profiles, News For You, and account activity.
What to do next
Follow artists you want in your personalized feed; use Watchlist when you specifically want to monitor movement.

An account keeps follows and personalization across devices.

Personalized news+

Real music stories matched to artists you follow, scout, or watch.

Latest news is public. Your choices shape News For You; they do not alter the source story.

How to read it
Every story keeps its original source. CRNT connects covered artists to profiles so you can move from context to live discovery signals.
Where you’ll see it
Latest, Trending, News For You, artist pages, and Home highlights.
What to do next
Open a story, check its source and time, then visit the linked artist profile for current signals.

Latest and trending stories are public. News For You requires an account.
